Launched on January 28th, 2025
Your permanent exhibition is so much more than a mere showcase of artifacts; it embodies a collaboration between cultures and generations, highlighting the narratives of Indigenous peoples, including the Innu and Naskapi, as well as those of the European explorers and settlers who shaped this unique land.
A narrative built on several voices
At the heart of this project, a co-creation approach took shape, integrating an advisory committee to ensure the equity and diversity of viewpoints are respected at every stage. The exhibition is committed to retracing the passage of time, celebrating encounters between Indigenous and European cultures in the spirit of openness and dialogue.

An unrivalled wealth of artifacts
From its reserve of 10,000 artifacts, the Musée has selected some exceptional objects that represent all corners of the Côte-Nord, from Basse- and Haute-Côte-Nord to Anticosti Island and the Caniapiscau region. These treasures–some of which have never been exhibited before–tell personal and shared stories, connecting each visitor with this diversified and fascinating land.

A journey of the senses on the Côte-Nord
The exhibition also sets itself apart through its immersive layout, with a giant map covering the floor of the main room, inviting visitors to literally walk in the footsteps of the stories being told. The path is enhanced by multilingual narration devices (English, French, Innu-aimun, Naskapi), enabling everyone to discover these stories in their own language and according to their own sensibility.
