Sept-Îles, March 3, 2025
– The Musée de la Côte-Nord’s board of directors is proud to announce the appointment of Melissa Lacroix as the institution’s new managing director. Passionate about archaeology and history, Ms. Lacroix has almost ten years’ experience at the Musée, where she has held a number of key positions, actively contributing to promoting the Côte-Nord’s heritage.
Melissa Lacroix, who holds a bachelor’s degree in archaeology from Université Laval, set herself apart through her versatility and commitment, having worked in particular on coordinating the Vieux-Poste; creating content for various exhibitions, including the new permanent exhibition; and developing educational and digital projects.
“We are pleased to welcome Melissa at the helm of the Musée de la Côte-Nord. Her deep knowledge of our institution, together with her dynamic and innovative vision, will enable us to continue on our mission to preserve and showcase the regional heritage”, said Mr. Gaétan Talbot, Chairman of the Board of the Musée de la Côte-Nord.
Melissa Lacroix officially took up her post on Monday, March 3rd, 2025, and aims to strengthen the Musée’s conservation, curation, education and cultural outreach efforts.
