Philippe Galinier is an artist specializing in wood painting. Inspired by animals emblematic of the Côte-Nord, his work is done in collaboration with a lime wood sculptor to give shape to his ideas. Thanks to acrylic paint, varnish and lots of talent, Galinier then makes the animals in his imagination spring to life!

From beluga whales to humpback whales, a collection of his creations is available at the Musée de la Côte-Nord, in the store. Come adopt them; they’ll be as comfortable in your home as a whale in the St. Lawrence River!
