The Musée’s collection comprises more than 10,000 objects spanning the fields of fine arts, archaeology, ethnology and natural sciences. It is the culmination of more than thirty years of acquisitions and donations. It is a rich and diverse reflection of Indigenous and non-Indigenous heritage, as well as a window into Quebec and Canada’s visual arts.
Over 10,000 objects hide in the Musée’s storerooms. Some of them reveal themselves to you.
Carrying out research focused on collections for the public’s benefit is what guides our dissemination efforts.
Protecting the collection’s objects and guaranteeing their long-term conservation is one of our core tenets.
