Conference by Jacques Gélineau

Sept-Îles, le 16 mai 2024 – On May 18th, at 1:30 PM, to celebrate International Museum Day on the theme of “imagining a future where knowledge sharing transcends barriers; where innovation unites with tradition” , we invite you to participate in a special activity with Jacques Gélineau.

Summary of the conference

The year 2023 was surprising in terms of the diversity of species encountered in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. This conference by Mr. Gélineau will focus on the results of his observations about the marine wildlife of the Côte-Nord, more specifically between Rivière-Pentecôte and Havre-Saint-Pierre. Photographs taken at sea will accompany his narrative. The conference will also provide an opportunity to discuss the changes caused by human society to the ecosystems of the St. Lawrence.

Location: Musée régional de la Côte-Nord, youth room, 500 Boulevard Laure, Sept-Îles.
Date: Saturday, May 18th
Time: 13h30
Price: Free for members, $8 for non-members, free for anyone 12 and under.
